Privacy Policy
Mate Mobility Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) complies with personal information protection regulations under relevant laws, such as the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection and the Personal Information Protection Act. The Company is committed to doing its best to protect the rights and interests of its members by establishing a Privacy Policy in accordance with these laws. Through this Privacy Policy, the Company informs members of the purposes and methods of using the personal information provided by them and the measures taken for personal information protection.
If the Company amends this Privacy Policy, it will notify members through the App Notice (or via individual notice). This policy is effective as of October 01, 2024.
Article 1 (Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information)
The Company collects and processes personal information for the following purposes: member management, service development/provision and improvement, and creating a safe mobile usage environment. Processed personal information will not be used for purposes other than those listed below, and prior consent will be sought if the purpose of use changes.
- Confirmation of intent to sign up for or withdraw from membership.
- Verification of identity between the mobile phone number holder and the applicant.
- Verification of possession of a driver’s license capable of operating a motorized bicycle/scooter.
- Provision of services to members.
- Identification of members using the service.
- Prevention and sanctioning of acts that hinder the smooth operation of the service, such as account theft and fraudulent transactions.
- Monitoring and taking action against members’ violations of laws and terms of service.
- Delivery of notices and information necessary under the Terms of Service.
- Establishment of a service usage environment in terms of security, privacy, and safety.
- Service improvement, enhancement, and development of new services.
- Dispute resolution, handling inquiries or complaints.
- Billing of service usage fees and related responses.
- Identifying causes and handling procedures in the event of an accident.
- Response to requests from investigative agencies in accordance with laws and regulations.
- Marketing and promotional purposes (providing event information and participation opportunities, etc.).
Article 2 (Items of Personal Information Collected and Methods)
The personal information collected/used by the Company and the methods of collection are as follows:
- Mandatory Items (Upon Sign-up):
- Mobile phone number, Email address.
- Connecting Information (CI), Duplication Information (DI).
- Optional Items (After Sign-up):
- Nickname, Profile picture.
- Driver’s License Information (Type, Number, Aptitude test period, Serial number, Issue date, Issuing Authority/Police Commissioner).
- Automatically Collected Information:
- IP Address, Cookies, Visit date and time, Service usage records, etc.
- Location Information:
- Personal location information is collected with the member’s consent.
- Payment Information:
- Credit card company name, Card number, etc., when using Credit Card/Simple Payment.
Article 3 (Retention and Use Period of Personal Information)
- Personal information is retained and used during the maintenance of membership.
- Confirmation data regarding the collection, use, and provision of location information is retained for 6 months.
- Personal information is deleted and destroyed upon membership withdrawal or loss of qualification.
- However, if required by relevant laws and regulations, information may be retained for a certain period.
Article 4 (Right to Refuse Consent and Consequences)
Members have the right to refuse consent to the collection and use of personal information. However, if consent for mandatory information is refused, use of the service is impossible. If consent for optional information is refused, the provision of some benefits may be restricted.
Article 5 (Procedures and Methods of Destruction of Personal Information)
- Electronic files: Permanently deleted in a way that cannot be restored.
- Paper documents: Shredded or incinerated.
Article 6 (Rights of Members and Legal Representatives and How to Exercise Them)
Members and their legal representatives may request to view, correct, delete, or suspend the processing of their personal information at any time. Requests can be made in writing, by phone, or by email, and the Company will take action without delay.
Article 8 (Installation, Operation, and Rejection of Automatic Personal Information Collection Devices)
- Purpose of Cookies: Used to provide personalized services, etc.
- How to Reject Cookies: Uncheck strict settings for cookies in your web browser.
- Note: If you refuse the installation of cookies, there may be difficulties in providing the service.
Items collected for Online Personalized Advertising: 1. Collection of Advertising Identifiers when using Mobile Apps
- Items Collected: ADID (Android) / IDFA (iOS).
- How to Opt-out:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
- iOS: Settings → Privacy → Advertising → Limit Ad Tracking.
- Online Personalized Advertising Service
- Behavioral Information Collection Business Operators: Google, Facebook.
- Collection Method: Automatically collected and transmitted when the app acts.
Article 9 (Collection and Retention of Personal Location Information)
The personal location information collected in the personal location information business and location-based services provided by the Company, as well as the method and purpose of collection/retention, are as follows:
- Service Name: SINGLE Vehicle Control
- Collection Method: Automatic.
- Content and Purpose: Identifying vehicle location within the golf course.
- Service Name: Online Personalized Advertising
- Collection Method: Automatic.
- Content and Purpose: Providing information on nearby stores.
The Company retains and uses the minimum personal location information necessary to provide location-based services and destroys it without delay upon membership withdrawal or termination of service.
Article 10 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
The Company may provide personal information collected during the use of “SINGLE” to the golf course solely for the purpose of using and settling the “SINGLE” service at the golf course.
- Recipient: Partner Golf Courses.
- Purpose of Use: Dispatch and return of SINGLE vehicles, payment processing for usage, rounding management within the golf course, and provision/settlement of F&B services.
- Items Provided: Name (Nickname), Phone number, Gender, Driver’s license status.
- Retention Period: Service provision period (or the relevant retention period if preservation is required by relevant laws or prior consent is obtained).
The Company does not use the member’s personal information beyond the scope of consent or provide it to third parties, except in the following cases:
- With the member’s prior consent.
- In accordance with the provisions of the law.
- When provided in a form that cannot identify a specific individual for statistical purposes, etc.
Recipients and Details of Personal Information Provided:
- Recipient: Each District Police Agency.
- Items Provided: Mobile phone number, Driver’s license type, Driver’s license number, Name, Gender, Date of birth, Address, Aptitude test period (License renewal period), Issue date, Service usage records.
- Purpose of Retention/Use: Verification of driver’s license validity, investigation, measures under the Road Traffic Act.
- Retention/Use Period: Until the purpose of retention/use is achieved.
Article 11 (Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing)
The Company entrusts personal information processing tasks to external parties for smooth service provision.
Trustees and Details of Entrusted Work: 1. Trustee: KG Inicis Co., Ltd.
- Content and Purpose: Electronic payment service.
- Trustee: KG Inicis Co., Ltd.
- Content and Purpose: Mobile phone identity verification.
If the contents of the entrusted work or the trustee change, we will disclose it through this Privacy Policy without delay.
Article 12 (Measures to Ensure Safety of Personal Information)
The Company takes the following measures to ensure the safe processing of personal information:
- Administrative Measures: Establishment and implementation of internal management plans, minimization of personnel handling personal information, etc.
- Technical Measures: Access authority management, encryption, installation of security programs, etc.

Article 14 (Duty of Notification)
In the event of any addition, deletion, or modification of the Privacy Policy, notification will be made through ‘Notices’ at least 7 days prior to the revision. In case of significant changes, notification will be made at least 30 days in advance.
